This unit is a 180 HP Corvair engine and has a 285 cam. It was in a two seat class buggy and had a great running record. Never burnt or exploded. Condition is sound and complete. This has standard GM engine rotation and NO VW adapters were used. It was mated with a 4 Speed Corvair tranny at the time. It has not been fired since the late 1980’s , so it is going to need some exterior maintenance, rubber seals, oil filter, carb cleaning etc. I am including extra parts as clutch disc, fan, input shaft, and more minor items. I also have trannys and 3rd members if you want them. I am not a dealer and I realize this is a borderline ad and may be bounced , but the popularity of Corvair power for VW may hold up here.Equipment has been stored indoors and dry at my home located at 3901 E. The 180 HP is a Turbo Powered Model offered by Chevrolet and was a very popular Option , but not many survived. This Engine may be Configured with 2 Carbs or 4 Carbs and will bolt in a stock Corvair Vehicle in a Clutch Environment. A Tourqe converter and AutoMatic CrankShaft Drive plate will be Necessary for AutoMatic install.
